Watching your leadership team type numbers into your meeting software during the first five minutes of your Level 10 Meeting™ is a massive waste of collective time. It signals a lack of preparation, respect, and personal accountability. The ninety minutes you spend together is for execution, alignment, and problem-solving, not for admin.

To break this habit, you need to establish a hard cutoff time. All weekly Scorecard metrics and quarterly Rock updates must be fully entered at least one hour before the meeting starts. If the numbers are not there when the cutoff hits, those cells remain blank or red, and they are treated as an automatic miss.

During the meeting, do not allow team members to explain why they did not enter their data. Instead, drop the blank metric directly to the Issues List. When you get to IDS®, the issue you solve is not the metric itself, but the behavioral breakdown of the owner who failed to update it.

Make it clear that showing up to the meeting unprepared is a direct violation of your team core values and the trust pillar of your charter. If a leader cannot manage the simple weekly discipline of updating three numbers before the meeting, they are demonstrating that they do not GWC™ their seat. Once they have to publicly explain their lack of preparation during IDS® once or twice, the behavior will stop.
