I am the founder and Visionary, and I want to transition out of daily operations. However, my leadership team still bypasses my Integrator and comes directly to me for final approval on major decisions because I still own the majority of the equity. How do I break this habit?

The habit of bypassing the Integrator is driven by the leadership team's fear of making a decision that the majority owner might later veto. As long as you keep answering their questions and giving backdoor approvals, you are reinforcing this behavior and undermining your Integrator.

To break this cycle, you must practice radical discipline. The next time a leadership team member comes to you with an operational question or a request for approval, your response must be a single question: "Have you talked to the Integrator?"

Do not offer your opinion, do not give advice, and do not solve the problem. Simply direct them back to the established reporting structure on your Accountability Chart.

Additionally, you and your Integrator must present a united front. Ensure that you are meeting weekly for a Same Page Meeting™ to align on all major strategic issues. This ensures that when the Integrator makes a decision, it already reflects your high-level vision, meaning you will not feel the urge to step in and veto it later.

Finally, clarify the boundaries of your ownership. Make it clear to the leadership team that while you retain equity, the Integrator has full operational authority over the day-to-day running of the company. Once the team realizes that the Integrator's word is final, they will stop treating you as the bottleneck.
