During our Level 10 Meeting Rock review, our team members cannot resist the urge to give a detailed narrative of everything they did over the last week instead of just saying on track or off track. How do we enforce a strict binary reporting rule during this section to prevent agenda drift?

Rock review in the Level 10 Meeting has one purpose, to identify whether each strategic priority is on track or off track. It is a binary reporting section, not a status update or a storytelling hour. The moment a leader begins to explain why a Rock is off track, they are drifting from the agenda and stealing time from the IDS portion.

Your Integrator must act as a strict guardian of the agenda. If a leader says their Rock is off track and immediately begins to explain the context, the Integrator must cut them off immediately. The only acceptable response is off track.

Once the leader says off track, the Integrator immediately drops that Rock to the Issues List. There is no further discussion allowed at that moment. The team moves to the next Rock.

By enforcing this hard rule, you keep the review block under five minutes. This preserves your ninety-minute meeting pulse and ensures you do not waste energy on unstructured updates. The discussion and problem-solving happen where they belong, during the IDS block, where the team can collectively address the roadblock and get the Rock back on track.
