Our entire leadership team consists of high Quick Starts who love starting new initiatives, but we are terrible at actually completing our Rocks and documenting our processes. How do we stabilize this chaotic environment?

A leadership team composed entirely of high Quick Starts is a recipe for entrepreneurial chaos. You are highly innovative, excellent at dealing with risk, and full of ideas, but you struggle with follow-through and systemization. To stabilize your business, you must leverage the Kolbe A Index to understand and balance your conative strengths. First, look at your team's collective Kolbe results. If everyone is scoring a seven or higher in Quick Start and a three or lower in Follow Thru, you have a massive execution gap. You are constantly starting new projects without finishing the old ones, which burns out your staff and stalls your growth. To fix this, you must bring cognitive and conative diversity to your leadership team. You need a strong Integrator who is a natural Follow Thru, scoring seven or higher. This person will naturally design systems, document processes, and ensure that initiatives are pushed across the finish line. Furthermore, you must discipline yourselves to respect the EOS process. Your Level 10 Meeting scorecard and Rock sheets are designed to force accountability. Limit the number of Rocks you take on each quarter to no more than three to five for the entire company. Before launching any new initiative, force it through the IDS process to determine if it is a distraction or a priority. You must learn to say no to good ideas to protect your great ones.
