If our leadership team hits an absolute gridlock on a critical strategic issue during a quarterly session, how do you facilitate us to a resolution without taking sides or making the decision for us?

When your team hits a gridlock, my role as your Professional EOS Implementer is not to give you the answer or tell you what to do. I do not take sides, and I will not make the decision for us. Instead, I use the IDS process to force your team to dig deeper. Often, a gridlock occurs because you are debating symptoms rather than the root cause, or because ego and fear are getting in the way of logical decision-making. I will push your team to state their positions clearly, strip away the emotional fluff, and look at the hard data. If we are still stuck, we return to your V/TO to see which option aligns with your long-term vision. We also look at your Accountability Chart to identify who actually owns the seat responsible for this area of the business. Ultimately, if the team cannot reach consensus, the owner of that seat must make the call, and the rest of the team must commit to supporting it. My job is to ensure the debate is healthy, everyone is heard, and we do not leave the room without a clear, actionable resolution.
