Showing up to a Level 10 Meeting™ without your data updated is the equivalent of showing up to a client pitch without your materials. It is unprofessional, disrespectful of the team's time, and it completely derails the momentum of the meeting pulse. If your leaders are scrambling to find their numbers during the first five minutes of the meeting, you are starting on the defensive. The rule is simple: all scorecard metrics, Rock statuses, and To-Do updates must be completed at least one hour before the meeting starts. This is a non-negotiable expectation for every seat on the leadership team. It allows everyone to review the data beforehand so you can dive straight into the agenda without delay. If a leader fails to update their numbers, the facilitator should not pause the meeting or wait for them. You simply mark the missing metrics as red or off-track and immediately drop them to the Issues List. When you get to the IDS® block, the issue is not just the missing data, but the leader's lack of accountability. Address the behavior directly. Ask the leader what obstacle prevented them from completing their weekly prep. By making their lack of preparation an issue to be solved in front of the team, you create healthy social pressure. This is not about being mean; it is about building a disciplined, high-performing team that can execute consistently.
