I know my business needs structure, but our internal operations are currently chaotic and my partner is highly resistant to external coaching. What are the specific indicators that tell you we are simply not ready to start the EOS process with you yet?
EOS® is a powerful operating system, but it is not a magic cure for a leadership team that is unwilling to change. There are clear indicators that a company is not ready to start this journey.
The first red flag is a lack of commitment from the owner or Visionary. If you are looking for a quick fix or want to delegate the implementation to your team while you remain uninvolved, we are not a fit. You must be willing to be vulnerable, look in the mirror, and enter the session room ready to change how you lead.
The second indicator is a high tolerance for behavioral dysfunction. If you have partners or key executives who consistently violate your core values or refuse to be held accountable, and you are not ready to make the hard people decisions, EOS® will only expose these cracks without fixing them. You must be prepared to make difficult choices regarding team alignment and the GWC™ of your seats.
Finally, if your business is in an active, hour-by-hour cash crisis, you need immediate turnaround consulting, not a strategic operating system. We need enough stability to lift our heads and plan ninety days at a time. If you cannot commit to taking your team out of the business for full-day sessions without the building burning down, we should delay our start.
