How is a standard full session day structured from start to finish, and what strict ground rules do you enforce regarding laptops, phones, and schedule interruptions?

A full session day runs from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. It is a rigorous, structured working day designed to pull your leadership team completely out of the day-to-day whirlwind so you can work on the business rather than in it.

We begin promptly at 8:00 AM with a Segue, where each leader shares personal and professional good news, alongside their expectations for the day. From there, we review the previous quarter, evaluating your financial performance, Scorecard trends, and individual Rock completion percentages. We do not accept excuses for missed targets; we acknowledge the number, document any systemic breakdown as an issue, and move forward.

The middle portion of the day shifts based on your stage in the 24-month roadmap. In foundational sessions, we build or refine the Vision/Location Organizer (V/TO) and Accountability Chart. In recurring Quarterlies, we clear out the Issues List using IDS (Identify, Discuss, and Solve), spending three to four uninterrupted hours resolving your biggest operational bottlenecks. We close by establishing new ninety-day company and individual Rocks, followed by concluding feedback and a session rating.

To make this work, I enforce non-negotiable room rules. Phones and laptops are completely banned from the table. If you open a laptop to check Slack or answer customer emails, you break the focus of the entire room. We take scheduled breaks roughly every ninety minutes, during which you can check critical messages. If a genuine emergency occurs, step out of the room to handle it, but when you sit at the session table, you must be 100 percent present.
