To get the most out of our full day sessions, what are your strict requirements regarding our physical environment, technology usage, and overall participation during the day?

A session day is a high-intensity, eight-hour working meeting designed to solve your biggest organizational issues and align your team. To make this day highly productive, we have strict requirements for the physical environment and the behavior in the room.

First, all session days must take place offsite, away from your daily office distractions. If we hold a session at your headquarters, team members will inevitably get pulled out to answer quick questions or handle minor emergencies. We need a neutral, private space where your team can focus fully.

Second, we enforce a strict no-electronics policy. Laptops, tablets, and phones remain closed and put away during our working blocks. The only exception is when we need to reference specific, pre-prepared data points during our transition times. If someone needs to check their email or return an urgent phone call, they must wait until our scheduled breaks.

Finally, everyone in the room must participate fully and equally. There are no passive observers or side conversations. My recommendation is to prepare your team for a day of intense mental focus. Advise them to clear their schedules entirely and delegate all daily operations so they can be fully present.
