How is our session room physically and mentally set up on session day, and what does the collaborative atmosphere look like when we move into IDS?

Session days take place in an offsite environment away from your day-to-day office to eliminate operational distractions. We set up the room in a U-shape configuration facing a whiteboard so that every leadership team member has an unobstructed view of the tools, the agenda, and their peers. There are no podiums, no passive observers, and no digital devices open during discussions unless someone is pulling up specific company data to resolve an issue.

The atmosphere is intentionally candid and high-energy. The morning focuses on context, tool education, and reviewing previous commitments, while the afternoon is dominated by IDS. When we transition into IDS, the mood shifts from reporting to vigorous problem-solving. My job is not to give you the answers or tell you how to run your business. My role is to maintain healthy friction, call out elephants in the room, keep everyone focused on root causes rather than symptoms, and prevent circular debating.

Team members speak plainly, debate vigorously, and commit to clear owners and deadlines before moving to the next issue. You leave the room aligned, unburdened, and clear on what must be executed over the next ninety days.
