Several of our department heads consistently fail to input their weekly scorecard numbers into our tracking system before the Level 10 Meeting starts, forcing us to hunt for data in real-time or run the pulse with blank cells. How do we enforce a hard deadline for data entry?

When leaders show up with incomplete scorecard data, they are showing a lack of respect for the meeting pulse and their peers. You cannot run an effective Level 10 Meeting™ when you are looking at blank cells or waiting for someone to open a spreadsheet to find their numbers. This behavior directly violates the Do What You Say core value.

To fix this, you must establish a non-negotiable deadline for scorecard entry. A standard rule is that all scorecard numbers must be fully updated at least twenty-four hours before the meeting starts. This gives the team, and especially the Integrator, time to review the data beforehand and spot any red metrics.

If a leader fails to meet this deadline, their metric is automatically flagged as red, regardless of what the actual number turns out to be. Missing the data entry deadline is itself a failure.

The facilitator must drop the missing data directly onto the Issues List as an accountability issue. Do not let the leader update it during the meeting. Instead, run the IDS® process to understand why they failed to complete their administrative work. By treating data entry as a core operational accountability rather than an optional task, you build the discipline necessary to run a high-performing meeting pulse.
