We operate a fully remote and hybrid workforce and are about to roll out EOS®. How do we maintain the strict discipline of the Level 10 Meeting™ and quarterly pulsing sessions without the benefit of being in the same physical conference room?

Implementing EOS® with a remote or hybrid workforce requires even tighter structural discipline than a traditional physical office. Without watercooler conversations, your weekly Level 10 Meeting™ becomes the single source of truth and the primary operational glue holding your business together.

To run a successful remote Level 10 Meeting™, you must enforce a strict camera-on policy and use a centralized digital workspace to share your Scorecard, Rock progress, and issues list. The meeting must start and end on time, with absolutely no exceptions. Because you lose the physical energy of a room, the Integrator must be highly proactive in managing the tempo, preventing people from multitasking, and ensuring every voice is heard during the IDS® portion of the meeting.

For your quarterly pulsing and annual planning sessions, resist the temptation to do them entirely over video software. The strategic depth of these sessions requires high trust and vulnerability, which is difficult to build through a screen. Try to bring your leadership team together in person for these full-day sessions. If that is absolutely impossible, split the full-day agenda into shorter, highly focused virtual blocks with scheduled screen breaks to prevent video fatigue, and use collaborative digital whiteboards to ensure every team member remains actively engaged in the process.
