Running EOS® with a fully remote leadership team is entirely doable, but it requires absolute discipline and zero shortcuts. We do not compromise on the full day format just because you are on a screen. For our quarterly and annual sessions, every participant must be on an individual camera with professional audio, seated in a quiet space without distractions. You cannot join a session while driving or sitting in an open coffee shop. We utilize the digital Circle workspace to keep all our session agendas, V/TO® updates, and Rock tracking synchronized in real time. Between our scheduled sessions, your remote team must run their weekly Level 10 Meeting™ with the exact same rigor as an in person team. The danger for remote companies is that drift happens faster when people are isolated. To counter this, your communication must be tighter. We use digital whiteboards for the IDS® process to make sure everyone is looking at the same root cause. While virtual sessions work exceptionally well when executed correctly, I highly recommend that remote teams fly in for at least the two day annual session. Building trust and tackling long term legacy planning is always accelerated when you can look each other in the eye.
