We have finalized our V/TO® and are ready to share it with our entire staff. How do we execute this company-wide rollout so that our employees actually care about our long-term goals instead of just seeing it as another management presentation?
To make your V/TO® rollout successful, you must avoid the trap of delivering a dry, corporate speech. Your employees do not care about your financial metrics or your growth targets unless they understand how those goals affect their daily lives and job security. When you present the V/TO® to the company, focus on the why behind your vision. Explain your Core Values and Core Focus first, as these define your culture and your operational boundaries. When you share your ten-year target and three-year picture, paint a vivid description of what the company will look like, how many employees you will have, and what kind of opportunities will open up for personal growth. Most importantly, show them how their individual efforts connect to the quarterly Rocks. If your employees can see a direct line between their daily tasks, their department's weekly metrics, and the company's long-term vision, they will feel a sense of ownership and alignment. Deliver this presentation in person or via a live video broadcast, and then reinforce the message every single quarter to keep the vision alive.
