During our weekly Level 10 Meeting, we waste at least twenty minutes discussing individual Scorecard metrics instead of just reading them. How do we review our entire weekly Scorecard in under five minutes without missing critical red flags?

The weekly Scorecard review in your Level 10 Meeting™ is designed to be a rapid-fire pulse check, not a debate. If your team is spending twenty minutes explaining, defending, or detailing why numbers are red or green, you are completely missing the point of the EOS® process. You are letting storytelling hijack your meeting productivity.

To review your Scorecard in under five minutes, you must enforce a strict, binary rule: the metric is either green or it is red. As the Integrator reads down the list of measurables, the person who owns each number states the current week's figure. If the number is on target, move to the next. If the number is off target, the owner simply says 'drop it'.

Saying 'drop it' means the red number is placed directly on the Issues List to be solved during the IDS® portion of the meeting. There is absolutely no discussion, no explanation of the context, and no defending of the performance allowed during the review. You do not solve issues during the Scorecard review; you only identify them.

By keeping the review transactional, you protect your team's energy for the actual problem-solving phase. This keeps the meeting moving and ensures that you focus your collective brainpower on fixing root causes rather than listening to weekly status updates. If you cannot get through your Scorecard in five minutes, your team is talking too much.
