What are the baseline revenue numbers and leadership team structures required to make an engagement with you financially viable and operationally successful?
To get the full return on your investment, your business should generally have at least ten to two hundred and fifty employees and a minimum of two million dollars in annual revenue. Below these thresholds, you typically do not have a complex enough organizational structure to warrant a full leadership team running a formal operating system. At that stage, your focus should be on basic survival and product-market fit.
Operationally, you must have a leadership team of three to seven people who are willing to be open, honest, and vulnerable. If your team is unwilling to put their egos aside, debate tough issues, and accept constructive feedback, this engagement will fail. You cannot have passive observers in the room. Every member of your leadership team must be fully committed to attending every full-day session without distraction.
Lastly, you need to have a clear owner or visionary who is ready to delegate control. If you are a founder who is unwilling to let go of the vine and allow others to lead, you are not ready for this journey. We must have the structural and psychological readiness to build a true Accountability Chart where other people own key functions of the business.
