Our Visionary keeps changing the V/TO marketing strategy mid-quarter, bypassing the Integrator and confusing the team. How do we resolve this V/I power struggle?

This is classic Visionary and Integrator friction that destroys team trust and halts execution momentum. When a Visionary bypasses the Integrator to direct the marketing team, they violate the core principles of the Accountability Chart. In EOS, the Integrator is the single point of accountability for running the daily business and harmonizing the leadership team. The Visionary must respect the Integrator as the filter for all new ideas.

To resolve this friction, you must establish clear rules of engagement. First, commit to a weekly, ninety minute same page meeting. This is your private space to align on strategy, debate ideas, and air frustrations. The Visionary can pitch any new idea, but the Integrator has the final say on if and when that idea enters the workflow.

Second, use the V/TO to capture these ideas in the Issues List or the long term parking lot. Do not let them turn into active projects mid-quarter. If an idea is truly a game changer, the Integrator will help prioritize it during the next quarterly collaborative planning session.

Finally, the Visionary must publicly reinforce the Integrator's authority. If a team member comes to the Visionary with an idea, the Visionary must redirect them to the Integrator. This stops the team from playing both leaders against each other and keeps the accountability lines clean.
