My Integrator and I are experiencing constant friction because I want to aggressively pivot our company to AI-powered operations but they keep shooting down my ideas because of team capacity issues. How do we resolve this strategic logjam on our leadership team without breaking our working relationship?

This friction is normal but highly destructive when left unaddressed. As a Visionary, your mind naturally operates in the future, dreaming up new AI-powered operating models. Your Integrator operates in the present, managing the reality of team capacity and system limitations. This clash is a healthy tension, but when it causes a logjam, you must use your EOS tools to break the deadlock.

First, step out of the office and allocate dedicated thinking time to isolate the core issue. Are you pushing for these AI integrations because they are critical to your V/TO, or are you chasing a shiny new object? Your Integrator is responsible for the harmonious integration of the business, which means they must protect the leadership team from operational whiplash.

To resolve this, schedule a same page meeting. This is a private, recurring meeting where you and your Integrator align before bringing issues to the rest of the leadership team. Use this time to IDS the friction. Your Integrator must show you the data on current capacity, and you must present the long-term ROI of the AI automation.

If the change is critical, you must collectively agree on what current Rocks or projects will be pushed to a future quarter to make room for it. You cannot simply layer new technology onto an already redlining team. Agree on the plan in private, then present a united front to your leadership team.
