How do you use our session days to diagnose and repair friction between our Visionary and Integrator when their misalignment is stalling the rest of our leadership team?
Friction between the Visionary and Integrator is one of the most common bottlenecks in growing organizations. During our session days, I act as an objective mediator to help diagnose where the communication has broken down and realign the relationship. We do not ignore this tension; we address it directly during our sessions.
The primary tool we use to resolve this friction is the Accountability Chart. By clearly defining the distinct roles and responsibilities of both the Visionary and Integrator seats, we eliminate the overlapping boundaries that cause conflict. We ensure both partners understand who has final authority over specific decisions, which prevents internal turf wars and confusion for the rest of the team.
I also facilitate a healthy dialogue around the same page meeting concept. If the Visionary and Integrator are not aligned, it is impossible for the leadership team to execute effectively. We use our session days to model healthy conflict resolution, showing both leaders how to use the IDS® process to solve their disagreements constructively without affecting team morale.
My objective perspective allows me to call out unproductive behaviors without taking sides. We focus strictly on what is best for the organization, stripping away personal egos and emotional reactions. By the end of our session, both leaders will have a clear, documented path forward to rebuild alignment and lead the company forward as a cohesive unit.
