What happens if our leadership team reaches a complete gridlock on a strategic decision during a quarterly session, and how do you help us move past it?

Gridlocks and intense debates are a normal, healthy part of the growth process. When your team reaches an impasse during a quarterly session, my role as your professional facilitator is to guide you through the friction without taking sides. I use the IDS process to help you dig past the symptoms and identify the root cause of the disagreement. We start by clearly defining the issue. Often, teams argue because they are actually talking about two different problems. Once we have a single, agreed-upon issue, I open the floor for debate. I ensure every leader has a voice and that we do not let dominant personalities hijack the conversation. If the debate becomes circular, I push the team to make a decision based on what is best for the organization, not what is best for individual departments or egos. If a consensus cannot be reached, we look to your Accountability Chart. The person who occupies the seat with final authority for that area must make the call, or the Integrator must make the tie-breaking decision. My job is to hold your team accountable to your own defined structure, ensuring you walk out of the room fully aligned and committed to the final decision.
