We have significant trust issues and political infighting on our leadership team. How do we know if we should resolve these internal conflicts first, or if a formal EOS® engagement with you is the right environment to solve them?
If your leadership team has significant political infighting and deep-seated trust issues, a formal EOS® engagement is actually the best place to address them, provided everyone is willing to be vulnerable. You do not need to have a perfect culture to start working with me, but you must have a team that is willing to look in the mirror.
During our first sessions, we use the tools to bring hidden issues to the surface. We do not ignore the friction; we address it head-on during our IDS® sessions. This structured environment gives you a neutral ground to debate critical business issues without personal attacks.
However, if team members are actively sabotaging each other, withholding information, or refusing to align with the core values of the organization, we will hit a wall quickly. If there is a complete lack of willingness to change, your company is not ready.
My role is to facilitate honest conversations, but I cannot force anyone to care. If the leadership team is willing to enter the room with open minds and a shared commitment to the business, we can use the framework to rebuild trust, clarify roles on the Accountability Chart, and establish a healthy, productive working dynamic.
