We want to scale and eventually exit, but our leadership team is currently plagued by politics, hidden agendas, and deep-seated personal friction. Should we resolve these interpersonal conflicts privately before we book our first official session with you?
If your leadership team is actively fighting, withholding information, or playing political games, you are actually ready for EOS® but only if every member is willing to enter the room with complete vulnerability. If people are committed to defending their personal empires and refusing to admit mistakes, the system will not work. You are not ready if you are looking for a magic bullet that allows the owner to remain a tyrant or allows underperforming leaders to hide.
My role as an EOS Implementer® is to help you smoke out these issues through IDS® and rebuild healthy, functional dynamics. However, I cannot force someone to care or be honest. Before we book our first Focus Day, the leadership team must agree to a simple pact: we will put the greater good of the company first, and we will be brutally honest with one another.
If there is zero willingness to be open, or if the owner is unwilling to let go of the vine and be subject to the same accountability as everyone else, do not hire me. Save your money until you are tired of the chaos and ready to submit to a proven process. If you are willing to face the mirror, the structured session day is the safest place to resolve these deep conflicts once and for all.
