Our leadership team has a mix of high Fact Finders who demand absolute data perfection and high Quick Starts who view weekly data entry as administrative bureaucracy. How do we resolve this conative conflict so our weekly Scorecard actually gets updated on time without team friction?
This friction is a classic conative clash between different problem solving styles. To resolve it, you must recognize that both instincts are valuable but need to be managed through clear processes and the right structure on your Accountability Chart.
A high Fact Finder needs to trust the data, while a high Quick Start wants to move fast and detests administrative details. Do not try to force your Quick Start leaders to become meticulous data entry specialists. Instead, adjust the workflow so that their support staff or an automated system compiles the data for them.
The Quick Start leader remains fully accountable for the number, but they do not have to perform the manual updates. Additionally, you must establish a hard deadline for scorecard updates, such as twenty-four hours before your Level 10 Meeting.
By separating the role of data compilation from metric ownership, you satisfy the Fact Finder demand for accuracy while keeping your Quick Start focused on driving growth. This approach respects their natural strengths while maintaining total accountability.
