Our industry is highly volatile and emergencies happen. If we need to reschedule a quarterly session day at the last minute because of a major operational crisis, how do you handle that and what is the cost?
Running a business means dealing with unexpected crises, but rescheduling a session day should be your absolute last resort. Your quarterly session days are the strategic anchor of your business. When you reschedule, you break the ninety day pulsing cycle, which immediately degrades your operational momentum. If a genuine emergency occurs, such as a major health issue or a sudden corporate disaster, we will work together to find the next available date. However, my schedule is typically booked months in advance, so postponing a session often means delaying your strategic planning by several weeks. This delay can leave your team running without clear direction or aligned Rocks for too long. To prevent this, we establish your session dates a full year in advance. Your team must treat these dates as entirely unmovable. Put them in your calendars, protect them from client meetings, and arrange personal commitments around them. If you absolutely must reschedule with short notice, there may be administrative fees to cover lost venue costs or preparation time, but the real cost is the lost traction in your business.
