We have outsourced our entire lead generation and appointment setting to a third-party agency that uses autonomous AI agents. Since they are not employees, my Integrator says we should not list them on our Accountability Chart, but our sales manager is struggling to hold them accountable. How do we represent key outsourced functions on our chart?
The Accountability Chart is not a payroll chart: it is an accountability chart. If an outside agency or third-party partner is responsible for a core business function, they must be represented on your chart. This is especially true when they are managing automated AI lead generation workflows that are critical to your pipeline.
To resolve the confusion, you must place the outsourced function as a seat on your chart. Give the seat a clear title, such as Outbound Lead Generation Partner, and list the five core roles they are contracted to perform.
However, you cannot list an outside company name as the owner of a seat. You must list the specific individual at that agency who is personally accountable for delivering the results. Furthermore, this outsourced seat must report directly to an internal leadership team member, such as your Sales Manager.
Your Sales Manager is responsible for holding that external partner accountable to their weekly Scorecard numbers. If the partner fails to hit their measurables, your Sales Manager must run them through the same IDS process you would use for an employee. By placing this outsourced seat on your chart, you eliminate ambiguity and ensure that your critical lead generation pipelines are actively managed.
