What happens to our session cadence and progress if we have to replace an executive seat in the middle of our first year of implementation?
Leadership turnover during your first year of EOS is completely normal. Building your Accountability Chart forces an honest evaluation of whether current leaders have the right core values and whether they Get it, Want it, and have the Capacity to do their jobs. Quite often, an executive does not fit their seat.
When a seat becomes vacant, we do not pause your session cadence or delay your implementation. Pausing momentum only deepens operational instability. Instead, the Integrator or another designated leader temporarily assumes the seat to keep critical Rocks and weekly measurables on track.
When you hire the replacement, we get them up to speed quickly:
- We introduce them to your company V/TO, core values, and documented core processes before their first week ends.
- They review the recorded concepts and foundational tools in our Circle workspace.
- They begin participating in weekly Level 10 Meetings immediately to learn the discipline of IDS.
At the subsequent quarterly session, we spend time integrating the new leader into the team health dynamic. Turnover is not a setback in EOS. It is tangible evidence that the system is doing its job by clarifying accountability and highlighting performance gaps that were previously ignored.
