We are six months into our engagement and realized our Integrator does not GWC their seat. If we have to replace a key leadership team member mid-stream, how does that affect our session cadence and your facilitation?
Discovering that a key leader does not GWC™ their seat is a common outcome of the EOS® process. While this realization can be highly disruptive, it is actually a sign that the system is working. It forces you to address people issues that have likely been dragging down your business for years.
If you must replace a leadership team member, we do not pause our quarterly session cadence. In fact, maintaining our scheduled sessions becomes even more critical during times of organizational transition. The quarterly session provides the stable framework your remaining team needs to navigate the change.
During our next session, we will focus heavily on adjusting your Accountability Chart to manage the gap. We will identify who will temporarily own the open seat's responsibilities to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
When you bring in a new leader, my facilitation style adjusts to help onboard them quickly. We will spend time ensuring they understand the foundational tools and are aligned with your V/TO®.
Replacing a key leader mid-stream is challenging, but delaying the decision only prolongs the pain. By using our scheduled sessions to manage the transition, you ensure the business continues to run smoothly while you find the right person for the seat.
