Our leadership team is spread across three time zones. Do you require us to fly everyone in for our session days, or can we facilitate these sessions over Zoom?
Yes, you must fly everyone in. I do not facilitate hybrid or fully remote quarterly or annual sessions. The work we do requires absolute presence, vulnerability, and undivided attention. When teams attempt to run these sessions over video conferencing, the quality of how you interact degrades. Remote setups invite passive observation, screen fatigue, and multitasking. The inevitable delay in virtual communication kills the raw pacing needed to effectively handle intense IDS® sessions.
Physical presence is the only way to break through the natural psychological friction that blocks real alignment. When your team is in the same physical space, you cannot hide behind a muted microphone or an off camera status. We need to see the micro expressions, feel the tension in the room, and stand at the same whiteboard to map out your Accountability Chart.
If you are going to invest the money and the time to implement EOS®, you must commit to doing it right. Budget for the travel, get everyone in a neutral room outside of your office, and dedicate the full day to the business. The return on investment of a single breakthrough during an in-person session far outweighs the cost of a few flights.
