Remote teams often struggle with the IDS portion of the Level 10 Meeting because they replace the physical whiteboard with tedious screen sharing or endless verbal debates. Without a shared visual focus, remote leaders easily lose track of the actual problem being solved, leading to tangents and multitasking.

To solve this, you must separate your meeting tracker from your digital workspace. The facilitator should share a clean, digital whiteboarding tool where everyone can collaborate simultaneously, rather than one person typing while others watch passively.

When you identify a complex issue, the facilitator must visually split the digital board into three clear sections: Identify, Discuss, and Solve. In the Identify section, type the single, clear problem statement. This keeps the team focused on the root cause, not the symptoms.

During the Discuss phase, instead of letting people talk over each other, have every team member drop sticky notes with their key points onto the board. This allows the team to digest information visually and cluster similar ideas instantly.

For the Solve phase, convert the agreed upon solutions directly into measurable to dos with clear owners and due dates. By turning the remote meeting into an active, visual workspace where everyone is clicking and typing, you recreate the high energy of a physical room and prevent remote fatigue.
