We suspect our remote leadership team members are multitasking, checking emails, or messaging on Slack during our virtual Level 10 Meeting™ because their response times are sluggish when called on. How do we restore complete presence without installing intrusive tracking software?

To fix remote multitasking, you must establish a clear agreement on virtual presence. The rule is simple: cameras must be on, and all non-meeting applications must be closed. This is not about micromanagement. It is about respecting your leadership team's collective time. If a team member is checking email, they are not fully present to solve company bottlenecks.

To implement this, start your next Level 10 Meeting™ with a direct conversation about engagement. Ask the team if they feel everyone is fully locked in. Once the issue is acknowledged, establish a team agreement that all notifications must be paused and Slack must be closed during the ninety minutes.

Additionally, stop calling on people in a predictable round-robin order. The facilitator should randomly prompt different leaders to weigh in during IDS® sessions. This keeps everyone on their toes. If someone is caught off guard because they were distracted, do not ignore it. The facilitator must address the delay immediately by asking if they were focused on something else.

If the behavior persists, the Integrator must address it offline in a one-on-one meeting. Remind the leader that their seat on the Accountability Chart requires active participation, not passive observation. If they do not have ninety minutes to dedicate to the health of the business, you have a deeper capacity or delegation issue that needs to be solved.
