In our remote Level 10 Meetings™ we waste precious minutes scrolling through a shared software screen while the facilitator tries to clean up the issues list. How do we optimize our digital workspace so remote IDS® sessions are as fast-paced and collaborative as they are in a physical conference room?

Running a remote Level 10 Meeting™ requires even higher discipline than an in-person meeting because digital screens invite distraction and passive participation. To optimize your remote workspace, you must designate a single screen-share owner, typically the Integrator or facilitator, who manages the software. The rest of the team must keep their focus on their cameras, not just their private screens.

Your digital issues list must be ruthlessly organized before the meeting starts. Do not waste live meeting time re-ordering, editing typos, or formatting lists. During the IDS® portion, the facilitator should project only the active issues list and use a clear visual indicator to highlight the three items you are currently solving.

To maintain a high-velocity pace, force everyone to turn off notifications and close all other browser tabs. If a team member is silent for too long, the facilitator must actively call on them to keep the energy high. Remote fatigue is real; therefore, you must keep the meeting strictly to ninety minutes. If you finish early, great, but never let a remote session drag out because of clumsy software navigation or slow screen sharing. Keep the tool secondary to the actual conversation.
