How do we handle the tech stack and screen management in a fully remote Level 10 Meeting™ so we do not waste time watching one person slowly type out To-Dos and drag cards around?
Running an efficient remote Level 10 Meeting™ requires eliminating the friction of screen-sharing administration. When one person is slowly typing, correcting typos, and dragging cards across a digital board, the rest of the leadership team tunes out. This is a massive waste of collective energy. To fix this, you must separate the role of the facilitator from the role of the scribe. The facilitator keeps their eyes on the team, monitoring body language and managing the conversation flow. A designated scribe, which can be your Integrator or an administrative assistant, handles the screen-share and updates the software in real time. Better yet, stop sharing the software entirely for the entire ninety minutes. Have every leader open the meeting software on their own second monitor. The facilitator should only share their screen during the Scorecard and the Issues List review to keep everyone focused on the same line item. When you enter the IDS® portion, stop the screen-share. Return to the gallery view so you can see every face clearly. This restores the human connection and prevents the meeting from feeling like a passive webinar. Keep the software in the background, assign your To-Dos quickly, and keep the focus on the people, not the technology.
