The Level 10 Meeting is a sacred ninety minutes, and preparation is the price of entry. When remote team members show up with an empty scorecard or un-updated Rocks, they are wasting the collective time of the entire leadership team. This is a structural discipline issue, not a technology issue. You must establish a hard deadline for updates. All numbers, Rock updates, and To-Dos must be fully updated in your software at least one hour before the meeting starts. No exceptions. This allows the Integrator to review the data beforehand and ensures the meeting starts exactly on time. During the meeting, do not allow people to type or update their numbers on the fly. If a metric is blank when you reach that section, it is automatically red. Do not type the number in for them. Mark it red, put it on the Issues List, and IDS the lack of preparation. When a leader has to explain to their peers why they did not update their data, the peer pressure is usually enough to self-correct the behavior. If a leader consistently fails to prepare, they are showing a lack of respect for the team and the EOS tools. Address this as a seat GWC issue.
