Our leadership team operates fully remotely, and we often struggle with communication silos between our scheduled meetings. How do you help a distributed team maintain the high-trust environment required for deep IDS® during our session days when we do not see each other in an office?
Distributed teams often struggle with the trust needed to solve real issues because remote communication tends to be transactional. In my work with remote leadership teams, we use the EOS® framework to build structural trust rather than relying on casual office interactions. During our quarterly sessions and the two-day annual, we force a level of vulnerability and directness that remote environments usually suppress. Between our sessions, the discipline hinges on your weekly Level 10 Meeting™. This is not a status update. It is an operational forcing function where team members must raise, track, and solve their issues transparently. We ensure your remote setup utilizes a shared digital workspace where your Scorecard, Accountability Chart, and Issues List are live and visible to everyone at all times. This visibility replaces the physical oversight of a shared office. I also use the scheduled Just Checking In calls in months six, nine, twelve, fifteen, eighteen, and twenty-one to ensure your distributed Integrator is maintaining this discipline and that remote silos are not creeping back in. We do not change the EOS® tools for remote teams; we simply increase the strictness of their execution.
