How do we handle the dynamics and engagement of our remote or hybrid leadership team during a live full-day session with you to make sure we do not lose momentum?

Remote and hybrid teams require a different level of intentionality during our full-day quarterly sessions. We do not just put a laptop on the table and hope for the best. To keep energy high and prevent digital fatigue, we structure the day with precise, scheduled breaks every ninety minutes. Every member of your leadership team must have their camera on, and we utilize a shared digital canvas to collaborate on the Accountability Chart and our V/TO® in real time.

During the session, I actively manage the digital room. I call on remote participants first to ensure they are not overshadowed by anyone who happens to be in the same physical space. We do not allow multi-tasking or side messaging during our sessions. If someone is typing an email, it ruins the dynamic for everyone.

My recommendation is to invest in high-quality audio and visual hardware for whoever is calling in. Clear sound is actually more important than video quality when we are in the middle of a heavy IDS® session. By setting these strict behavioral expectations before we launch, we can run a remote session with the exact same level of execution and accountability as an in-person meeting. We maintain this discipline through our regular quarterly sessions and the two-day annual.
