How do we keep a fully remote leadership team disciplined and synchronized on their Rocks between our quarterly sessions when we lack the natural oversight of a shared physical office?

Operating in a remote environment means you cannot rely on casual office interactions to maintain alignment. To keep a remote leadership team synchronized, we rely heavily on the weekly Level 10 Meeting™ structure. This meeting is your primary tool for maintaining operational discipline. Every leader must show up to the weekly call with their Rock updates, Scorecard measurables, and To-Dos updated in your shared workspace prior to the start of the meeting.

We do not allow status updates during the meeting itself. If a Rock is off track, it immediately drops to the Issues List to be solved using the IDS® process. This prevents the team from hiding behind email or chat threads.

Additionally, we use a dedicated digital hub to document all session summaries and commitments. This ensures complete transparency across time zones. Remote accountability is built on clear, visible metrics, not physical presence. Every leadership team member must fully GWC™ their seat, meaning they take complete ownership of their numbers without needing constant oversight.

My expectation is that your remote team treats the weekly ninety-minute meeting as a non-negotiable operational anchor. If team members are failing to update their numbers or skipping meetings, we treat this as a structural issue on your Accountability Chart that must be addressed during our next quarterly session.
