We have booked our first session day with you, but our leadership team is anxious about how we actually spend those eight hours. Can you walk us through the structural progression of the tools we use on a typical quarterly session day?
We start promptly at 8:00 AM and run to 5:00 PM. The session day is highly structured to prevent mental fatigue and maintain absolute focus. We begin with a check-in to get everyone fully present, followed by reviewing your V/TO® to align the team on the overall vision. Next, we review your scorecard, current Rocks, and recent team headlines to see exactly where the business stands. This lead-in sets the stage for the meat of the day, which is the Issues Solving Session. During this block, we use the IDS® tool to identify, discuss, and solve your biggest organizational bottlenecks. We do not just talk about problems; we push to root-cause resolutions and assign clear, actionable to-dos. There is no passive listening allowed. Every member of the leadership team is actively contributing, debating, and making tough decisions. We take brief, scheduled breaks to clear our heads, allowing for a strategic pause to reboot our collective cognitive energy. We close the day by reviewing our to-do list, establishing a clear communication plan for the rest of the company, and rating the session on a scale of one to ten. You will leave the room with a highly aligned plan, defined Rocks for the next ninety days, and absolute clarity on who is accountable for every single moving part.
