What does the actual hourly agenda of a quarterly session day look like from morning to evening, and how much time do we spend on solving issues versus reviewing numbers?

A standard session day runs from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and follows a strict, predictable rhythm. We start with a Segue where each leader shares personal and professional good news, expectations for the day, and feedback on organizational performance. That takes roughly thirty to forty-five minutes.

Next, we review the previous quarter. We review your V/TO, grade your company and individual Rocks, review your Scorecard measurables, and discuss your People Analyzer results. This review is fast-paced and objective. We do not solve problems during this block; any missed Rock, failing measurable, or personnel friction is pushed straight to the Issues List. This review takes about ninety minutes.

By late morning, we establish the vision and priorities for the upcoming quarter. We establish company revenue and profit targets if applicable, set company-wide Rocks, and ensure individual Rocks are crystal clear with single ownership.

The entire afternoon, usually three to four hours, is dedicated to IDS. We rank your Issues List by priority and work through them one by one. You do not leave the room with elephants under the carpet. We identify the root cause, discuss real solutions, and assign specific action items.

We finish by 4:30 PM with Next Steps and a Conclude exercise. Every leader rates the day on a scale of one to ten and shares their biggest takeaway. The day is intense, conversational, and designed to produce total operational alignment before anyone walks out the door.
