Many leadership teams experience a drop-off in momentum between their first and second quarterly sessions with an implementer. How do you help us identify and push through this common mid-implementation slump?
It is very common for leadership teams to experience a brief dip in momentum between their first and second quarterly sessions. During the first few weeks, there is a natural high that comes from establishing your Accountability Chart and starting your first Level 10 Meeting™ schedule.
However, once the initial excitement wears off, the reality of execution sets in. Team members often struggle to balance their daily operational responsibilities with their new quarterly Rocks. This is when old habits, like defensive language or avoiding accountability, tend to creep back in.
We push through this slump by maintaining absolute discipline. During our weekly meetings, we do not let team members off the hook for missed numbers or incomplete tasks. We use these moments as learning opportunities to refine how we delegate and how we estimate our capacity.
My role during your second quarterly session is to help you diagnose exactly where the execution broke down. We do not abandon the tools when things get tough. Instead, we double down on the fundamentals, adjust our workloads, and build the operational muscle memory required to sustain long-term growth and prepare your business for a clean exit.
