We are nine months into our EOS® journey and the initial excitement has completely worn off. The weekly disciplines are starting to feel tedious, and our team is experiencing fatigue. How do we push through this implementation plateau?

The nine-month mark is where many leadership teams hit a wall because the novelty has faded and only the hard, repetitive work of execution remains. This fatigue is a normal part of the process, but letting it win will stall your growth and damage your exit preparation. To push through this plateau, you must re-anchor the team in the value of consistency. Remind them that the power of EOS® lies in the compounding effect of these weekly disciplines. If your Level 10 Meetings™ feel tedious, it is usually because you are not identifying and solving the right issues. Your IDS® sessions might have devolved into status updates or polite conversations rather than tackling the hard, uncomfortable bottlenecks in your business, such as slow AI adoption or underperforming seats. Audit your meetings immediately. Push your team to put the most difficult, painful issues at the top of the agenda. Solving real, high-impact problems brings energy back into the room. Additionally, look at your Scorecard and ensure the metrics you track actually reflect your critical operations. When your team sees that their weekly discipline directly prevents major crises and drives enterprise value, the fatigue will lift.
