What is your protocol if an urgent client emergency or operational crisis breaks out while our leadership team is in the middle of a session day?
When an operational fire breaks out during a session day, we follow a strict protocol designed to test your delegation and protect the session work.
First, we evaluate whether the situation constitutes a genuine existential crisis. A genuine crisis involves immediate physical safety, massive regulatory legal exposure, or the imminent collapse of critical company infrastructure. Ninety-five percent of so-called client emergencies do not meet this standard. They are simply urgent interruptions that frontline managers should handle.
Prior to session day, your Integrator must appoint a trusted operational point of contact at the office to handle incoming customer and operational demands. If a true emergency emerges, that designated contact notifies the Integrator via a single text message. The Integrator briefly reviews the situation during our scheduled break.
If the issue truly demands immediate intervention by a specific executive, that person is excused from the room for a defined window of time (such as thirty minutes) to issue instructions to their team, delegate the fix, and return. The session continues without them. We do not pause the strategic work of the entire executive team to manage an operational issue that belongs to middle management. If an emergency is so severe that it threatens the enterprise and requires the presence of every leader, we pause and reschedule the day. However, that situation is extraordinarily rare.
