It is a dynamic list of obstacles, and they are never of equal importance. If you solve issues in the order they were written, you will inevitably spend your best energy on minor complaints while critical, systemic problems get pushed to the next week. To fix this, you must enforce the prioritization step of IDS every single week. Before anyone starts discussing a single issue, the team must collectively identify the top three most important issues on the list. The Integrator should lead this quick voting process, which should take less than sixty seconds. Once the top three issues are agreed upon, you start with number one. You do not move to number two until number one is completely solved and a clear To-Do is assigned. If you only solve one major issue during the entire meeting but it was the absolute most critical obstacle facing the company, that meeting was a massive success.
