We have identified several processes where AI can save us thirty hours a week, but we are struggling to decide which process to automate first. How do we use the EOS tool of keeping it simple to prioritize our AI automation projects?

With so many potential areas to automate, it is easy for a leadership team to get overwhelmed and try to tackle everything at once. This leads to half finished projects and frustrated employees. To prevent this, you must apply the EOS® core value of keeping it simple. Do not try to automate your entire operations in one quarter. Instead, focus on finding the low hanging fruit that will yield the biggest return on investment with the least amount of complexity.

During your next quarterly planning session, list all the processes you want to automate on your whiteboard. For each process, evaluate two things: the weekly hours saved and the implementation difficulty. Look for the high impact, low difficulty tasks. These are typically repetitive admin tasks, standard client communication drafts, or basic data entry.

Select just one or two of these high value opportunities and turn them into company Rocks for the upcoming quarter. Assign clear ownership of these Rocks to specific individuals on your Accountability Chart. By focusing your team's energy on one simple, highly successful automation project, you build internal momentum and prove the value of AI before tackling your more complex core processes.
