During our Level 10 Meeting™ segue, when a leader shares a major professional victory, the rest of the team immediately starts asking detailed business questions about it, which completely kills our transition time and drags us into operations early. How do we keep our wins strictly celebratory without kicking off early business discussions?

The segue is a cognitive bridge to transition the team from working "in" the business to working "on" the business. When a leader shares a professional win, the natural instinct of a driven leadership team is to inspect it, ask questions, or analyze the mechanics of that success. This is a subtle but destructive form of agenda drift. It breaks the discipline of the weekly pulse before you even review your scorecard.

The rule is simple: share the victory, say congratulations, and move immediately to the next person. If a victory sparks curiosity or raises a question about resource allocation, market conditions, or process changes, that question must be dropped directly to the Issues list. Do not allow a single follow-up question during the first five minutes.

The facilitator, usually the Integrator, must step in instantly. A simple phrase like "Great win, let's drop any operational questions about that to IDS" keeps the meeting moving. Keeping this boundary clean ensures your team starts the meeting with positive energy rather than immediate cognitive fatigue from premature problem-solving.
