Once we graduate from our formal engagement, how do we ensure we do not experience operational slide-back without your direct facilitation?
Graduation is not a sudden cliff. It is a planned transition to self-sufficiency that we build toward during our final months together.
To prevent operational slide-back, we focus on transferring the facilitation skills to your leadership team. During our final sessions, I will gradually step back and have your team members run key segments of the agenda, such as the IDS® portion. I will transition from active facilitator to observer, providing real-time feedback on how you run the meeting.
We also ensure that your internal meeting rhythms are locked in. Your weekly Level 10 Meeting™ must be running on autopilot with high ratings. Your team must be completely comfortable utilizing the Accountability Chart to resolve role conflicts without an outside mediator.
Additionally, we establish a designated internal champion who is responsible for keeping the tools pure and maintaining the quarterly calendar.
- Practice facilitating segments of our final sessions under my supervision.
- Appoint an internal champion to own the session calendar and agendas.
- Commit to keeping the standard quarterly and annual cadence.
By the time you graduate, your team will have the confidence, the habits, and the skills required to run the system cleanly on your own.
