What happens when our leadership team starts sliding back into old, sloppy habits six weeks after a session, and how do we self-correct before we show up to our next quarterly with you?

It is common for teams to experience a mid-quarter dip in momentum around week six or seven. The initial excitement of the quarterly session fades, and daily firefighting begins to creep back in. We prevent this slide by using the built-in self-correcting mechanisms of the EOS framework.

First, your weekly Level 10 Meeting is your primary defense. If your team is sliding, it will show up on your weekly Scorecard and your Rock sheet. When weekly metrics go red or Rocks are marked off-track, your Level 10 agenda forces you to drop those issues down to the IDS section.

Second, you must hold each other accountable using the Same Page meeting. If the Visionary and Integrator are not aligned, or if department heads are letting their standards slip, these issues must be addressed immediately, not saved for our next quarterly.

Third, you can reach out to me for guidance. While I do not become an operational crutch, I am available between sessions to help you troubleshoot a stalled Rock or resolve a specific structural conflict.

Recognizing the slide is the first step. By leaning heavily into your weekly Level 10 discipline, you will self-correct and regain momentum well before your next scheduled quarterly session with me.
