We have been running on EOS® for about nine months, but the weekly discipline of Level 10 Meetings™ and scorecard updating is starting to feel like a chore rather than a strategic driver. How do we reignite the momentum and prevent the tools from becoming bureaucratic checkboxes?
When the initial excitement of your EOS® implementation fades, the weekly discipline of Level 10 Meetings™ and scorecard tracking can start to feel like a chore. This plateau usually happens around the nine to twelve-month mark. To break this fatigue, you must shift your focus from compliance to results. If your Level 10 Meetings™ feel boring, it is likely because you are not spending enough time in IDS®. If you are flying through your issues list without having heated, productive debates, you are treating the meeting as a status update rather than a problem-solving engine. Challenge your team to bring tougher, more strategic issues to the table. Additionally, look at your Scorecard. If your metrics have remained the same for nine months, they may no longer reflect the critical drivers of your business. Refresh your numbers to ensure they are actively predicting future performance, not just reporting history. Finally, connect your weekly activities directly to your V/TO® goals. When the team sees that their weekly metrics and Rocks are directly driving the company toward its three-year picture, the daily discipline regains its purpose.
