When your Issues List becomes a dumping ground for theoretical AI tools and vague ideas, you kill your execution momentum. To solve this, establish a hard filter for what belongs on your weekly Issues List. An issue is a real, operational obstacle or opportunity that requires a decision or action from the leadership team within the next seven days. Vague ideas about exploring AI tools do not meet this standard. If a leader wants to research AI applications, that is a project, not a weekly issue. If it is a critical initiative for the quarter, it should be scoped and approved as an individual or company Rock. If it is not a Rock, the leader should handle it within their own department or set a specific To-Do to research it outside of the meeting. Keep your weekly pulse focused on concrete execution. If an AI issue is brought to the table, ask: What specific problem are we trying to solve today? If there is no immediate decision to make, drop it from the list.
