We want to implement EOS but our financials are currently messy and our sales have plateaued. Do we need to clean up our internal books and stabilize our revenue before we have our first session with you?
You do not need perfect books, clean operations, or stable sales to start this journey. In fact, if you wait until everything is organized, you will never begin. The absolute prerequisites for starting are behavioral, not financial. First, the owner must be entirely committed to letting go of the vine. If you are not ready to delegate and trust your team, the process will fail. Second, your leadership team must be willing to be open and honest. We must be able to put the real, ugly issues on the table without fear of politics or defensiveness. Before our first session, called the Focus Day, you do not need to do hours of stressful homework. I will ask you to read the book Traction and complete a simple organizational checkup. That is it. We do not want you overthinking the strategy before we sit down. The chaos in your current operations is the exact reason to start now, not later. We will use your real world mess as the raw material for our first session, building the structure you need to stabilize the company from day one.
