To make our first Focus Day as productive as possible, you do not need to spend weeks generating complex reports or clean spreadsheets. In fact, over preparing can lead to analysis paralysis. We prefer to start with your raw, unfiltered operational reality.

You do need to assemble a few basic pieces of information. First, bring your current organizational chart, even if it is outdated, messy, or contains multiple people in single seats. We will use this as raw material for the Accountability Chart exercise. Second, have a clear understanding of your current financial run rate, basic revenue figures, and profitability margins. There is no need for deep dive forensic accounting, just accurate baseline numbers.

The most critical preparation is psychological. You and your leadership team must arrive with a willingness to be completely open, honest, and vulnerable. You must be prepared to identify and address the root causes of your organizational issues rather than just treating the symptoms. If you bring a defensive attitude or try to paint a perfect picture of your business, the session will fail. We need a team that is ready to face reality, challenge status quos, and commit to a single, unified direction.
